Gregory A. Martin

Greg Martin brings a diverse set of business and legal skills to Compass. After graduating from the UCLA School of Law, Greg joined the Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency Group at Winston & Strawn, LLP. At Winston, Greg represented various clients in restructuring matters, including debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and trustees in industries ranging from banking and finance to manufacturing to oil and gas. Born with an entrepreneurial spirit, Greg went on to start a firm that developed software to predict law firm and client financial exposure in litigation. While working on his software company, Greg continued his education at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business, where he received an MBA, concentrating in Finance, Economics and Entrepreneurship. The top student in his graduating class, Greg was also a Dean’s Scholar and a James R. Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellow. Greg’s formal education includes: University of Missouri, graduating with BAs in Political Science and Philosophy; UCLA School of Law, graduating with a JD and membership on the UCLA Law Review; and Carnegie Mellon University, graduating with an MBA.
